ALL RELATIONSHIPS are a MIRROR
I've been reflecting on this (puns!) and seeing that the most important role of a parent is to reflect the child back to him or herself with as little distortion as possible! Yeah, right. Unless you were raised by Jesus, you have a distorted sense of self. And relationships are what we seek out to get a better reflection: one that feels right. So this is most of our childhoods: parent holds up a mirror which is dented; convex in places, concave in others, and filled with smudges which black out parts of our reflection. We stand before it, getting not only a distorted sense of who we are, (e.g. you are too messy, too curious, too angry, too happy, etc) and try with all our might to make the reflection look whole and balanced. (I shall be neat all the time, content, never angry, and careful instead of happy, e.g.) Thus is born the

Within each one of us is a variety of personas, or archetypes, that we step into depending on various circumstances in our lives. For example, a baby cries and the man becomes a mother. A female CEO calls a meeting to order and steps into her masculine side. We use our creativity and enter playful, childlike, artist territory. The Destiny Card system can help us understand our inner man, woman, and child through the King, Queen, and Jack of the suit of our Birth Card. When we need to, we layer on these archetypes and we act from this space. Each Royal Archetype has a distinct personality, as do the suits themselves so we’ve pointed those differences out in each report. When you get a massage or a therapy session, you are having 'work' done, or are doing your 'work.' Your Karma Cards indicate what you have come to work on. Your karma is your generalized work, as described above, such as co-dependency or abandonment issues. This is why they say karma is a bitch. Because it does feel like it sometimes. A karmic relationship is one in which you have work to do with each other in particular. Balance is what is sought.
